The shops at the Butterfly Estates opened in 2009, it was a four year “green friendly” renovation of our shops, café and installation of our over 3600 sq. foot glass butterfly conservatory. This small facility is home of The Florida Native Butterfly Society located in Gardener’s Park in the downtown Fort Myers River District. The inspiration for their venue is the Southwest Florida Natural environment.
The Florida Native Butterfly Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of Florida’s native butterfly species. Our Southwest Florida educational facility is providing the appropriate educational programs and involved research projects that are helping butterfly populations flourish throughout our state!
